Our Planning Team are delighted to have been unanimously granted consent for a 64,000 bird hen shed at Angus Council's Development Standards committee.
Eilidh Clark, Cogeo's Planning Lead for the project, stated, "It's undoubtedly been a complex and lengthy project which has garnered significant public interest. We've dealt with some ground-breaking assessments as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, following legal challenges to this type of development. Whilst it has been challenging, our commitment to high-quality, clear and concise assessment ultimately led to no consultee objections and support from the Planning Officers".
Cogeo's Associate Director, Bethan Lewis, echoed Eilidh's comments, stating, "The coordination of the mandatory EIA and associated Major Planning Application took a significant effort from the team at Cogeo, but the success of the planning consent is the reward for all our efforts. It's great to see robust assessment satisfying Councillors' concerns, and we are now looking forward to seeing the site developed".
We expect Construction to start on the project in Spring 2023.
